When you sign up, you are automatically placed on the Starter tier, which operates on a Pay-As-You-Go basis. To compare features across all tiers, visit Pricing.
Payment Options

- Subscription plans — monthly or annual subscriptions that include a set monthly credit quota.
- Pay As You Go — prepay for usage in advance without committing to a recurring subscription.

FAQs & Common Issues
Section titled “FAQs & Common Issues”Q: What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
A: Peppermint will never abruptly pause your active studies without warning.
- Subscription plans — if you approach your monthly credit quota, the workspace Owner receives email notifications at 80% and 100% usage. If you exceed your limit, your studies continue to run uninterrupted and any extra usage is billed as overages at a flat rate on your next renewal date. You can also upgrade mid-cycle to unlock a higher quota immediately.
- Pay-As-You-Go — before any new study launches, Peppermint automatically checks your Mint balance. If your wallet does not have enough Mints, you will be prompted to purchase more before the study can begin. There is no risk of running a negative balance.
Q: Can I cancel my plan at any time?
A: Yes. You can cancel your paid subscription at any time through your Plans & Billing dashboard. Your paid features and remaining credit quota stay active until the end of your current billing cycle. After that, your workspace automatically downgrades to the Starter tier. Existing studies, historical data, and research outputs are not deleted, but you may lose access to premium features or additional team seats until you resubscribe.
Q: Do you offer discounts for NGOs or academic researchers?
A: Yes. Peppermint offers a 25% discount on all monthly and annual subscription plans for verified non-profit organisations, academic institutions, and full-time students or researchers. Email [email protected] with documentation verifying your status (such as a student ID, faculty directory link, or 501(c)(3) determination letter). Once verified, the discount is applied to your workspace for all future billing cycles.
